Yesterday I spoke to a group of young people who were court stipulate to a recovery program . these youths were some of the brightest kids i have been around in a long time they were kids with some of the most mature and real views i have seen since starting this ministry .
These kids were all inner city born and bread . I saw so much of myself in a few of them that
it made me realize just how much the youth need a reality check in many areas. WHEN I ASKED THE QUESTION " ARE YOU DONE" I WAS SHOCKED i actually got a answer of truth 3 kids said .........NO.

By the middle of the presentation two out of the 3 were asking me how did you do this how did you change. change does not occur over night and my answer was simple "I WAS TIRED OF STEALING MY MOTHERS TEARS AND TIRED OF DISAPPOINTING MYSELF".
I sat and watch the pain in there eyes when i mentioned family and it took me back to when my mother and brother came to see me up state, they were broken but, being broken is not enough. We as the older generation need to step up and become a active member of the lives of the future........our youth.
I stress the point don't tell them what they want to hear and not follow through. Living in reality ministries will soon be looking into starting a teen mentoring program. I can not even begin to tell you the emotion i felt being in the room with a group of kids who still has the opportunity to change.
although the opportunity is there most youths can not do it for themselves and no teen can do it alone. FAITH WITH OUT ACTION IS LOSING BATTLE AND A TEEN WITH OUT DIRECTION WELL ESPECIALLY A TROUBLED TEEN IS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER.
So my challenge to the adults and youth leaders across the board is to be a active example in ACTION NOT JUST WORD ........WE ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS THE EXAMPLES WE GIVE AND SHOW........
